A closer look

Setting a grommet by hand usually fails when the little washer slips sideways right as the jaws close. We built this press with a magnetic seat on the head to hold the metal steady while you center your mark. You punch the material first, set the ring, and squeeze once.

• Magnetic seat holds metal. The jaw holds the small ring firmly so it stays upright while you position heavy canvas or a thick belt. You do not have to pinch the metal with your fingertips while bringing the handles together.
• Hole cutter included. A separate punch tool cuts a clean circle through heavy fabric, vinyl, or strap before you set the hardware. Punching a neat edge stops the weave from fraying when the press crimps the metal barrel flat.
• Coated metal body. The steel frame has a dark finish to handle damp shop benches. An integrated catch on the handles holds the tool flat and closed so it packs down flat in the supplied storage bag between jobs.
• Check the maker label. The exact diameter of the grommets, washer counts, and cutter dimensions are listed on the maker label printed right beside this text. Check those specifications against the thickness of your project material.
