A closer look

Setting a grommet by hand usually means dropping the washer halfway through the squeeze. We built this press with magnetic seats in the jaws so the metal stays where you place it while you center the fabric. The carbon steel heads swap out by hand when you need a different hole size.

• Magnetic jaw inserts. The metal ring snaps into the upper die and stays flat while you position the leather or canvas. That keeps the backer from shifting sideways when the jaws close on thick material.
• Tool-free head swaps. You pull and seat the punch heads by hand without hunting for a wrench. The interchangeable carbon steel dies match the cutter sizes listed on the label beside this card.
• Carbon steel build. The frame and punch faces are solid carbon steel so the edges do not cup or deform when you bear down on heavy tarp hem or thick tooling leather.
• Squeezing the rim. The contoured handles give you enough leverage to flare the barrel smoothly. Pressing slow and straight makes the ring roll evenly without cutting through the weave of your strap.
