A closer look

Sliding panels rarely line up with the jamb the way you planned. This zinc alloy latch swings into place across flat frames or inside corners, dropping down so the door stays shut without a key. You get a simple mechanical stop for a closet, a shed, or a bathroom pocket door.

  • Zinc alloy body. We cast these pieces from solid zinc alloy so the arm does not flex when someone pushes the panel. The metal holds its shape against daily wear around the house or out on a garden gate.
  • Two mounting angles. The strike plate fits flat along the wall or turns into the corner of the frame. That helps when a sliding door sits flush or hangs slightly forward of the trim.
  • Drop arm catch. The latch arm drops into its slot and stays put until you lift it by hand. It gives you a fast catch for an interior doorway or a pantry without fumbling with keys or small knobs.
  • Check your jamb. Look at the gap between your door and the trim before driving screws. The maker label beside this lists the exact dimensions so you can check clearance on your frame.
