A closer look
Spring lock couplings on heater cores and fuel rails freeze in place after years of road grime. We built this kit around long disconnect pliers and a full spread of split rings so you can walk collars back without crushing the thin metal tube underneath. Check the label beside this for the line profiles.
- Reaching past hard lines. The pliers have long handles to drop down between firewalls and intake runners. A dual fork head catches both single and stepped collar faces squarely so you do not have to twist the hose.
- Matched split rings. We machine the disconnect collars from aluminum and mold the snap rings from rigid plastic. They slide along the line and seat under the spring cage without galling the tube wall.
- Steel and aluminum stock. Each fork and pivot uses solid steel to handle stubborn fittings that will not budge on the first press. The aluminum collars take hard hand pressure without spreading open or flattening out.
- Molded bench case. Every ring, clip tool, and plier rests in its own labeled cavity inside the hard case. You can spot which collar is missing before you shut the hood and pack your trunk.
