A closer look

A car seat makes a poor desk, and eating lunch over the center console usually leaves food in the carpet. We molded this tray from hard ABS with a patterned surface so you have a flat, level board right where you sit. Side organizers snap off to fill the space beside the cushion.

• Hooks on the rim. The top bracket drops right over the bottom of a standard round wheel while the vehicle is parked. Pads sit between the hard plastic and the wheel rim to keep the surface from marring.
• Flat working area. The main board folds flat when stowed and opens to hold a laptop, paperwork, or a quick meal. Set the tilt angle so the board rests level against your wheel or seat back.
• Removable gap boxes. Two side bins unclip from the tray and slip straight down between the seat bolster and the center console. Small pocket items like keys, cards, and cords stay on top instead of disappearing underneath.
• Stows behind the seat. When you finish, the desk folds down flat to slide into a seat pocket or trunk. The smooth patterned surface wipes clean with a damp cloth if food spills on the plastic.
